Pesach 2014

Check out the photos we have from the trip!

We spent Pesach this year at Sarah and Yanki Greenspan's in Long Beach, CA! Dovid's WHOLE family was there:
  • Dovid and Anna
  • Mom and Ta
  • Sholom and Susie
  • Sarah and Yanki
    • Gavriel
    • Yonah
    • Emunah
  • Estee and Dan
    • Batsheva
    • Akiva
    • Sholom
That's a lot of people under one roof.

Sholom and Susie were only there for the first days, so we made the most of it. Each day was spent very much like the rest. Shul (well, some shul... Not all that much ;]), eat, chat, eat, chat, sleep, eat, read, etc.
For the one full day of Chol Hamoed (the days of Chol Hamoed fell this year Thursday- Sunday, so it was the only day in which we were neither in Shabbos or Chag, nor preparing), we went to the San Diego Safari Park, which is actually a part of the San Diego Zoo, which is legendary. Keep a lookout for video of that event soon! We had a great time.

On Friday, a bunch of us went to a Rancho nearby. A rancho is a ranch that historically supported the surrounding area. The one we went to was not really operational anymore, but they have a museum on the area as well as some animals kept and a tour of the old house. Oh, and some really cool gardens. These people lived large.

On Sunday we all took a family trip to the beach. Keep an eye out for a video of that event as well! Dovid got burnt, and Anna's mild allergy to the sun became a little bit more severe, so back at the house, we medicated and took care of her rash. Staying out of the sun and taking antihistamines for a day cleared the rash 80%. Whew!
Well, we took the Red Eye flight back to NYC immediately after Yom Tov was over and made our classes. Such is the life of a college student, but while we miss the folks we spent so much time with over Chag, it is good to be back in our own apartments, with normal food and normal schedules, even if that does mean work for us.

Well, it was fun, and we had a great time. Shkoiach!
